Raspberry & White Chocolate
Marshmallows - how good do they look? |
Hey chaps! As you might already know, as well as writing
recipes and features for Sal’s Kitchen, I produce a really awesome fortnightly
email digest of the very latest food trends and news, called Flash in the Pan.
It’s based on real data on what chefs and food journalists are talking about on
social media, so it’s the ideal way to keep up with what’s new & exciting!
Whether you’re a food blogger looking for inspiration and topics that will draw
lots of traffic to your site, or you work in the food industry, or you’re just
keen on your grub, it’s the perfect way to make sure you never miss anything
new.
But wait – that’s not all! Even though you could just
sign up to Flash in the Pan because it’s awesome, I’m also adding an extra
incentive, courtesy of the fabulous Mello
Mallo. If you subscribe to Flash in the Pan before midnight on Wednesday
the 22nd of July, then you could win a goody bag of their
bestselling lime & coconut marshmallows (yum) and one of their awesome s’mores kits, which include homemade
chocolate biscuits, marshmallows and chocolate buttons to make your own s’mores
– perfect for summer bbqs! And if you’ve already signed up for Flash in the Pan, then fear not,
because you can still enter, by tweeting about the competition – see the
Rafflecopter form below.

S'mores kit (and a glass of milk) |
I first discovered Mello
Mallo (and the lovely Laura, the genius behind it all) at the Kitchen Table
Projects ‘Artisans After Hours’ event, where I was giving a talk about blogging
for business. On a pretty clothed table set with flowers, great platters were
piled up with beautifully soft, pillowy marshmallows in pastel colours and all
kinds of exotic flavours. It was impossible to resist sidling over for a free
sample – my absolute favourites were the chocolate ones (I have to confess that
I’d never tried chocolate marshmallows before, or even considered them a possibility).
You can visit the Mello Mallo online shop here to see the rest of their
gorgeous confections – not only are there marshmallows in all sorts of flavours,
including raspberry & white chocolate, chai, and mint chocolate, but you can also buy gorgeous hot chocolate
stirrers, s’mores kits and other delicious dainties. Laura creates bespoke
orders and wedding favours too, and she’ll even supply the goodies for a s'mores bar at your
wedding reception – how cool would that be? Forget flumps, these little beauties are the answer to your marshmallow dreams.
The boring stuff: the
competition will be open until midnight on Wednesday the 22nd of
July. You must use the Rafflecopter form
below to enter, and you can enter either by providing your email address, to
sign up for Flash in the Pan, or by tweeting about the competition. You can do
both, if you haven’t already signed up for Flash in the Pan, and you can gain
one additional entry each day by tweeting about the competition again. I will
not pass your email address on to third parties, and will only use it myself to
send you Flash in the Pan, every other Friday, or occasionally other news about
Sal’s Kitchen. The winner will be announced shortly after the competition closes,
via social media, and I will also contact the winner via email address if
possible. If I don’t hear back from you within a few days, then I’ll have to
pick another winner, so pay attention people!
